Community/Web Marketing

Seth Godin is one of the best writers in integrated marketing & Purple Cow is the book I use at Northwestern to teach key concepts in creating unique sales propositions & to position a company/product for maximum impact in a target market/community.

Communities Dominate Brands is an excellent book on community marketing - especially for publishers, consumer product marketers, and those wanting to explore the difference between traditional direct & web-based community marketing programs.  An excellent read & one I also use at Northwestern.  Here is their blog

Seth Godin also produced a great book with Small is the New Big.  It is an eclectic look at web marketing & communities - a must read for senior managers looking to prosper in the new world of e-marketing

Positioning - Battle for your Mind is an older book but one which is a quick but very insightful read.  It deals with positioning your products & services for best possible advantage in your desired target markets.
