  Managing Abundance  As technologies advance, often what is scarce become abundant.  For example, older marketing databases often use complex coding structures to capture a great deal of information.  This was done to minimize the size of the database.  However, today, buying memory and storage space is very cheap and always getting cheaper....while the cost to train staff to understand complex coding structures is scarce and costly.  In this article from this month's issue of Wired magazine, Chris Anderson discusses how business are impacted by their inability to identify and manage abundance.
